Over the last 4 months my Dad has moved a whole household worth of furniture twice while they were moving into a new house. He says that he was not impressed with how the Rodeo sat down in the rear end loaded up. And now he wants to put on a new set of leaf springs under her in the rear end. He currently has OME shocks fitted and an Aluminum tray (which is light as), plus it is a spacecab. What brand and load capacity spings do you all suggest. If he was to fit a stiffer spring, when she is unloaded would it bounce around more?
Thanks

Hi SantaAus,
As it looks like not a lot of help forthcoming, I may offer some advise.
Holden actually brought out a heavy duty rear spring for your model. It has six leaves compared to the original which only had 4.
They are worth about $800 to buy at a Holden dealer.
Where I work we use a company called WA suspensions who actaully design a set-up to suit the vehicle loads. It costs us about the same as the genuine springs.
I am sure that any
suspension company could help you which ever State you are in.

I would look at the air bags that fit between the chassis and the axel, my father has a rodeo with a alloy tray and when unlaidened it would be very rough with a heavier set of springs, i don't these air bags are as dear as a new set of new springs if $800 is correct, there is a site www.airbagman.com.au
