Hi
Would like advice on the best place to mount our 40L Engel. Not sure if it is better in the back of our duel cab ute or in the trak shak. Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks
Gary and Jodie

Have a CT, but mount our 39l engel in the back of the car, and run it off the 2ndbattery. Easier electrics and recharging.

Mine sits proudly on the back of the ute. Has done for 2 years. That way am always in a good supply of beer and bourbon after work....... It can hold 54 cans you know.......
Oh and when I'm camping I take an esky for the food :)

In the ute. Handy for shopping trips from home when not camping. Better ride. Less voltage drop. As mentioned, still with you on day trips.

Hi Gary and Jodie,
Can you actually fit a 40L Engel in the Trak Shak? I have a 40L Engel and it is too tall. The Engel being about 510mm high and my Trak Shak opening is only about 490.

I bought a 32L Engel that I put in the Trak Shak and kept the 40 in the car. I agree with those who have said to mount it in the car, as it's much handier. But having the 2 is a nice but expensive option. We keep the one in the Traky as a freezer and the 40 for drinks etc.

I've owned a Trak Shak for ten years and discovered that jsut last week. It never occurred to me to put the fridge in the Trak Shak because it just makes so much sense to have it in the car.

Cold drinks on the road, no need to stop. It sits nicely in the left side of the luggage area in the Patrol and the right side third row seat is useable beside it.
