g day ,
check all hoses for perished cracks, fuel filters ? , i think there is a gauze strainer in the banjo inlet to the fuel pump on the 2h. is there any crap in the fuel tank ? have seen damage rubber hose acting like a gate valve internally allso i think there is a one way valve in the fuel pump . check all banjo fittings & lift pump (yes the lift pump can let air into the system) allso check the pick up line to the tank & the actual tank pick up .(i have seen these fracture very rare but does happen) the valve under the lift pump as well...hope this helps ...666toy

Old rubber fuel hose can have very fine cracks that will allow air too be sucked into the system.

Hi. Iwould look at the "O" ring in the bottom of the fuel filter. These can cause all sorts of problems at times.
It souns like your truck runs on the fuel in the filter then stops as it has not been able to suck up the fuel from tha tank.
I would replave it and keep a spare in the truck
Hope that is of some help

thanks guys for the info.. i started by bypassing the water trap because i got told they can get a pin prick size hole in them. since then i have had no drama's. next thing i am about to do is reconnect it with new lines because the old one's look pretty shot. if that does not work well hopefully i found the problem..
