Hi all,

Was booked in for gas since June for LPG conversion to IMPCO system for an install by 1st week of December 06.
I have just been called by the place in Melbourne and they say nothing till Feb 07, Not really upset as I was planning a decent trip over xmas new year for 3 weeks or so.

They said only chineses system avilable otherwise.
A mate also called around on my behalf and some mob is doing a supposed Australian LPG system, called " LG ".

I didnt think there was nay Australia LPG manufacturers or system

Are they any good?

Hi Kata
Don't panic wait for the impco, with the price of fuel droping around $1.05
and LPG rising around 55/60cents per liter and more in the bush your not going to lose a great deal.
I only ever made one mistake
and that's when I thought I was wrong!

Kata,
Have a word with LPGAS1 in Lilydale. They specialise in 4WD LPG systems. I've had one on my 80 series since 1998.............no problems at all, doubles your range and saves you heaps. EG $20 to drive from Bright to Melbourne @ 42cpl on cup w/e (340kms).
I do beleive the wait with LPGAS1 may be a while but they are the best. Mind you back in 1998 when I got mine done I had to wait 2 months before I could get in.

Hi Rob,

My brotherinlaw called them on my behalf,

They advised me June 2007 the earliest....

Another mob in the same factory apparently say the LG system is Aussie, sounds chinese to me

That is why im after options.

Also after a long ranger fuel tank second hand preferably for a Aussie V6 3.0. 4runner

Cheers

Kata,
LG Autogas (i think they are called) make the Aussie B2 converter which then goes to an Impco mixer. LG are in Moorrabbin in Victoria. Definetly Aussie made and they are a rebuildable converter as well. Costs about $90 to rebuild one.

LG is a copy of the IMPCO convertor, some parts are even interchangable.
