Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a high country mountain top (Vic Alps) that would make for a good photo of 4x4 vehicles and background view of the alps. There are probably dozens but would like some of your valuable assistance in this planning.
Thanks
Barn

Hi
Barn, Blue Rag is one of the best as a member of this
forum has it as a rig pic. King Spur track looking out over the
Dargo River towards
Dinner Plain or towards Mt Hotham (except for the ski lodges) are good. Further south the top of Mt
Wellington is very good as
well.

How about one with the popular huts in the background, eg: Craigs Hut

with the new car
park you need to be a ventriliquist capable of throwing you voice ... I mean your truck, in order to get it into any serious position where it can have the hut in the background.
This is due to the design of the "new" car
park.

Barn,
Craigs hut is a good one however it can be like
Bourke St at this time of year. Also up Steiners Rd at the Old
Slate Mine in the Howqua Hills is good. You can get a background of Mt Buller/ Stirling.

Barn.
Mt Terrible, between Eildon and Jamieson is [was] a nice quiet spot with easy access and mountain
views for 360 deg . Eric.

Some nice spots on the snow plains in Mt Buffalo NP
You can get the snow plains foreground and cathedral or some of the other crags in the background.
Cheers
Andrew.
