Does anybody like listening to talking books on a long trip ?
They are not much good once you have listened to them ( if you bought them ) so maybe you would like to swap them with somebody else who has a pile of them . If we had an area on this site where we could list our "copies for swap", it would be pretty handy.
Wuddayafink ?

Hi Willie
Interesting subject.
If anyone out there has any Talking Books they no longer require a friend of myne who is totally blind from a car accident (he was hitch hikeing back from
Townsville to
Brisbane on leave from the Army 30 years ago just got into the wrong car and the driver fell asleep he woke in hospital Totally blind went through the windscreen).
He would be very thankfull if you would forward them on.

Willie
Have you heard the one about Winston Churchill. I had it about 6 years back and it was in Cassette form X 3, He was crafty old bugger that one. I wonder if it is out now in CD .

Sorry Doug ,
I have none yet - I will get some if a few people will swap later . They are too expensive just to listen to and throw away .

Willie,
We have a free/swap section in the Trader now - We added this a month or so ago - this may be a place to load these - have a look it may not eactly suit but it is there now. See how the feedback goes to your post and we will see what can be done.

David ,
I was trolling for info and ideas on this one . I would like to purchase a few talking books for my 06
Kimberley trip , but I felt it was a bit of a waste of money to buy them and then toss them .
If I can find people to swap them with , I will go ahead and invest in a few .
Your swap section sounds like a good idea , I will have a look at it .
Thanks ,
Willie .

Vincent ,
I will buy some then , and get back to you when I have listened to them .
Iby swapping , it is often a good way to get to read (listen) to stuff out of your normal area of interest . Broadens the mind !
Thanks ,
Willie .

I think it is a great idea, we are about to buy some of Len Beadell's cd's. So once we have listened to them, then we certainly would be in the market to swap.
Cheers marion
