Number two son brought his 89 camry home to get the once over.
Told me the windows are playing up.
Finally worked out that he has to have the drivers door open to get the drivers window to work(Some times doesn't) and all other windows work occasionally.
Is there a simple solution to the problem ( other than windup handles) or am I looking at big bikkies.
It's still in excellent condition for its age and I would like to keep it that way.
Regards Bob

If the drivers door has to be open sometimes I'd be looking at poor connection/break in the wiring harness to the switchpads on the drivers door as (usually) all the windows run through the switches on the drivers door.
Poor/dirty contacts in the switches will cause the symptoms you describe.
Worst case is a broken wiring harness betwen door and pillar.
