Hi all
I just bought a 1985 ish25hp mariner (Yamaha produced) outboard.
Can anybody tell me if the pre-mix oil volume is 50-1, or 25-1..
Thanks for your input.
Cheers

Brian and Deb, 50:1 will be the go. Pretty much all outboards of this era were 50:1.
Just make sure you use a quality outboard oil, designed for
water cooled engine.

We use 25hp Merc's at our lifesaving club on the duck.
50:1 is the right ratio.

My 2002 Yamaha 30hp is 100:1, I believe it's the same as the early Mariner's, just modernised slightly (whether this is to do with the oil ratio I don't know though sorry).
OT My 1961 British Seagull on the other hand is 10:1, if you like lots of smoke, this is the way to go ;)
