I have a friend looking at purchasing a 2002 Hyundai Terracam petrol/gas to tow a 17 ft Jayco caravan.
Can anyone with experience with this vehicle please advise of the positives / negatives of this vehicle, particularly for towing.

Having had a 2005 Terracan Diesel Auto for a while, go the diesel as the petrol can be pretty savage even without towing.

Tell your mate to have a real good check of the weight of the J17ft ayco and in particular the drawbar (tow ball weight) when loaded, and check them against the Terracan limits, in particular the maximum allowable tow ball weight, irrespective of weight distribution hitch. If unsure get some professional advice before signing.
