Just throwing this one open for the forumites. I've done a search but couldn't find a match. Mate next door has a new Hilux and has wired up his spotties. He is a mechanic by trade and very good with all things auto. He has a dilema. He has picked up the high beam wire, through a relay etc etc as per normal. Spot lights work perfectly, on with the high beam off with the low beam, until he switches off the ignition- then the spot lights come on - even though the lights are off. I thought I read about this somewhere on this forum already. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Cheers

The Hilux uses Negative switching so the wiring for the spotlights is as follows for the Hilux:

Relay ports:
30 - battery +
86 - battery +
87 - Spotties
85 - Rear of headlight, red wire with yellow stripe.

I wired up 1 HID and 1 XGT Lightforce and the work a treat.
