Hi to all once again,
For those who replied to my wheel bearing problem, thanks for the thoughts & ideas, they still appear to me to be running hotter than what i regard as normal. (compared to a L/C 80 and a hilux) Will just keep working away at it.
New problem and I think unrelated, Steering power assisted to the left not to the right, jacked up engine off feels the same either way, I suspect pump.
Took to three different w/shops and got three different diagnoses.
Has anyone had a similar problem and what was the end result.

Regards Franga

More likely to be the actual steering box as the pump is just pumping fluid and doesn't have any idea where the fluid is going ;-)).
Could also be a crook balljoint or tie rod end which is jamming and making it feel like there is no assistance, but I'd put money on the steering box.
What sort of grease are you using in the wheel bearings? If using HTB clean the bearings and hubs and use Castrol APX or similar, HTB not usually recommended except for normal cars as the 4wd hubs don't get hot enough to melt it.
