80 series, 199? model, spent $9000.00?
Sounds like my 1996 pajero, the extras are going to be worth more than the car soon :o) But then pajeros depreciate faster than toyos.

Barn,
When I had OMEmu Susp installed in my 80 series the installer said you do not need it and If I wanted to get it innstalled it would be an all day job. Needless to say when I drove it for the first time without Castor Correction I thought what have I done. It drove horribly. Two weeks later I went round to ARB head office in Kilsyth who said they would do it there and then. About 1 hr later it was done and the car drove the way it did prior to lifting it. Mind you without the castor kit the outer odge of the front tyres would scallop very badly and the car tram-tracked all over the place.

The only way to get out of needing CCKit is to have a very heavi bullbar/winch combo and so on to bring the front end down.

The old philosiphy.....Go to the butcher shop for meat and the fruit shop for fruit. Just because a place calls themselves a 4x4 shop doesn't mean anything.................I should have gone straight to ARB in the 1st place. Got to watch DVD's and have coffee and biscuits while it was done!!!!

Gday
Glad to hear you are happy with the results....the bushes are not that hard to install with the right tools....another way around it is to slot the front bolt holes down 14mm and put flat washers either side of the bolts to be welded to the diff when the correct caster is obtained. 14mm (the thickness of the bolt) equates to 2 degrees caster....the front holes are oval anyway to take up any discrepency in the rubber bushes...the rear holes are snug to ensure the diff sits parallel, so the front holes can be played with quite easily.

Steve,

l had a 50mm lift OME's, then l put on MT FC11 285 x 75 Tyres and the vehicle began to drive me, like Rob said, it Tram Tracked, Wandered, etc and it felt a little scary. The CCK has fixed it.

cheers

Asking the same ,why a cc/kit for a 50mm lift , Gregorys manual states not required for 50mm ,lcool website also states non req ,only needed if lift over 50mm ,then a 3deg correction. ,, you sure it was not just a tire balance problem ?
