Caravan covers

Yes well I bought one when I got the new van. But on talking to friends in the caravan club the Galaxy Type Polycarbonate windows will scratch with all the rubbing from the cover.

So I don't know what sort of windows you have but it might be worth considering.

Saw then today at bigw, dont seem to bad,same material I use for the cover that sits over my commodore in the garage when Im away,no problems with the paint work or windows but obviously my windows are glass so cant comment on the above mentioned problem with the caravan windows. Regards Steve M

I always wonder how much damage a caravan or car cover can do to the fiberglass, paintwork and polycarbonate windows if the caravan or car is kept outdoor under the cover. With condensation, wind and rain causing the cover to rub against the paintwork etc.
Any other comment would be appreciated

Thanks Guys for the info. Good points about the windows and the general info re covers. Another point to remember if you have solar panels is a cover the way to go although you can have cut outs for these but defeats the purpose. Will probably leave the cover out of equation at this stage. Regards, Richard.
