Cost $55 each and I think well worth it. The car ticks like new, power is not up but fuel economy is shot through the roof (using less not more!). Starting is easier especially with the B100 bio. It only takes around 1 hour to do. I would recommend it to anyone with an older diesel looking for a cheap improvement.

Nice one - how much mech exp do you have to be able to do such? It "appears" to be a simple follow the workshop manual task - so is it really? Plus what is your vehicle model etc? You have me VERY interested in this.

I have a mech eng backgound but that does not directly relate to auto mechanics. I do most things myself and even installed my auto locker and new diff carrier once. Thats about it tho. I could probably not change the rings easily or other hard work. As for the injectors, in my car it was as simple as removing the diesel rail, and then the injectors with a $20 socket, then the two rings inside the injector chamber. Remove carbon deposits, soot etc,, then put vaseline on the new injector threads and revese of above. Now that I have done it I recon I could do it in half an hour. I also replaced the glow plugs, so all up for just under $300 its really good value. My car is a navara with a 2.5L non turbo diesel engine.

As 4Phantom says . I would also recommend the special spanner for undoing the injector lines, I can never remember its name. Its like a ring spanner with a chunk missing.
Ive also used 2 open end spanners side by side which doubles the effective grip on the injector trunnion.

I doubt I would be able to crack the injectors loose with anything but a socket and large arm for lots of torque. I dont mind improvising but I have found out the extra long and extra 'bleeding from knuckles' way that with this sort of stuff buying the tool is the way to go.
