I wonder if it will go to a large business enterprise or private equity style company or to private owners? Whats it worth?

Hi Steve,
When we were up there this year again, one of our favourite spots was the Blue Poles Gallery. They told us that they would selling also in the next few years.

Stephen.

Just pray that someone buys it and keeps it in town, not just to get the liquor license to use somewhere else ;-(

My understanding is that Ruth and Ian leased the Caravan Park from the Birdsville District Council. Over the years they made certain physical improvements to the place. When they retired at the end of October this year the Council 'resumed' ownership of the CP compensating the Doyles for their improvements. Now the Council had advertised the CP for lease. No doubt big dollars will be involved for any new incumbents to the CP or the Birdsville Hotel. Always a risky seasonal business in the outback.

the sellers would want to be offering a $5 million incentive.
