Howdy all. Earlier this year I drove the
Holland Track and had a ball. I havent got rid of the itch to get out there again. I recently purchased a copy of ROADS & TRACKS WA 2007, and on page 52 there appears to be a network of very minor tracks between
Victoria Rock road and
Cave Hill to the east. No info on them whatsoever. Now, I live to
camp, to peddle my 4by anywhere and everywhere, and I have to get to my destination the hard way. Tests me and the wagon. Question is, has anyone been on these
trails and are they passable. If not, where would I be most likely to reasearch them. Hope to get away in the cooler months next year over an extended long weekend, no definite date at the moment. EOers may be interested and welcome, the more the merrier. Doggy,Bundy,Davoe,Rick - Ive been watching reruns of Monty Pythons, so I can handle you guys on an extended trip. Any info would be really appreciated. Many thanks..........Lionel

Its a fantastic area, will be back out that way myself early next year.
Try Mark?? from
Dundas Post,
Norseman (google '
Dundas Post') He has mapped alot of that area and more along the Eyre etc. I have followed a few of his tracks etc, and have had a blast. He has details and mud maps on the website. He was talking about selling a book from the
Post Office in
Norseman (havent got it myself)
Fantastic area. I have some oziexplorer plots from that area. If you use the program, MM me and I can send them through.
Good luck.

Thanks Mike, Will do..........oziexplorer plots???????.......MM?????????????? your talking to a guy whos still in awe at the advent of colour tv. a chip is something you have with fish. a turbo timer is a flash wrist watch. a phone without a cord....wot next. little computers that tell you where you are, in car radios that communicate with others, [ carrier pidgeons made redundant], and I bet in the not so distant future you will be able to engage 4wd without getting out of your car. And "injection" something the doctor gives you when yourve been playing with less than honest women...hehehe...........Im just in one of those silly modes. Thanks mate, I'll try and get a hold of Mark...........regards. Lionel

there are quite a few tracks in the area some of which i have travelled - most not. It can be impossable to say how legitimate a track is until you actually try it. I can tell you there is a track heading south to the west of Woolgangie which is traversable I took this track through to the
holland track then out to the Vic rock road and then onto the woodlines which leads to
cave hill
