G'day all,
I have just gotten home from Cootamundra with the new trailer. Tows like a dream, actually better than I thought. My post the other day helped settle my mind about putting a load in it. Ended up not having any load and ran tyre pressures of 35 PSI.
The Trailer has independent
suspension c/w shock absorber, capacity for 12 jerry cans, 2 x 4.5Kg gas bottle holders, Removable stone deflector (which needs shade cloth added), front under suspended spare tyre, 3 removable ladder racks, Elec Brakes and LED lights.
The tail
gate drops down and becomes a work bench (will modify a bit more so that I can remove totally if needed, the numberplate is hinged to be displayed when the tailgate is down).
It made for a long day in the car but
well worth it, cant wait to get it off road for a torture test.
Check out my member profile for some pics.
Cheers Kev

Good one Kev
Had a look at the pics. Good looking, strong trailer. Dunno about the spare tyre. Can't think of what would happen if you started to traverse
sand dunes.
Cheers

Willem,
I'd probably have it off at that stage and either on the cars roof rack or in the trailer itself, all up I have now got 3 spares. So they'll fit somewhere.
Cheers Kev.

It had been a while since I'd towed a trailer,
So it meant for some interesting gear changes on some of the longer
hill climbs.
Like trying to stay in front of a B Double that I had just overtaken only to have him start overtaking me again.
Didn't think that it would cause that much power loss going up hills and that was unloaded.
