landed eagle
Hi all! Does anyone have any tips on how to,or whether to service the wind up system of a 1994 Jayco Eagle. All cables are fine but should it be lubed with anything periodically? Haven't had
mine long and any help appreciated. Another question....why does the bar-b que on the other side of the
camp ground smell better than yours?

Hay Landed Eagle,
From my experience with this system check the little pulleys etc. for wear or obstructions, your cables work on a pull system inside a small rhs section, it actually pulls a spring section through a right angled bend pushing the top up (if you can understand that) where the spring goes through the right angled bend that area needs lubricating (I use the grease gun and I make sure there's plenty of grease in this area).
I have an older swan that i rebuilt 15yrs ago and every couple of years, when i remember I chuck a bit of grease around.
Ive done a few mods to it but other than that its a great unit and I get p-----d off quite often because I don't get to use it enough.
Cheers with Beers
