A previous post had some mis-information on applying the ExplorOz stickers. I don't claim to be an expert, however I've just finished applying www. windscreens logos to 20 fleet vehicles. So here's some tips.
1/ Clean the area thoroughly with metho. or other good glass cleaner.
2/ Mark the centre of the windscreen- usually just where the rearview mirror is.
3/ Mark the centre line of the graphic- on the top application tape.
4/ In a 500ml spray bottle of water- add (1) teaspoon of dishwashing liquid and about a tablespoon of metho.
5/ Remove the backing paper of the graphic, for a long decal this is best done face down on a table- peeling the backing paper off at a shallow angle.
6/ Preferably don't apply the grahic in the sun with the glass hot.
7/ Lightly spray the back of the graphic (with the application tape still in place).
8/ Apply the graphic to the glass- centring on the marks and level with the top of the glass.
9/When you are happy with the location, squeegee the whole strip with a rigid squeegee. Gold Amex cards work well (or even a Visa or Medicare card). This will remove most of the moisture.
10/ LET THE JOB SIT FOR A WHILE. On a hot day, leave it for a hour or so. Or even leave it overnight.
11/ Peel off the application tape (top layer) at a sharp angle- ensuring none of the lettering is lifting.
12/ Squeegee out any big bubbles with your Amex card. Small bubbles will breath out after a week or so.
13/ Don't be too enthusiastic cleaning up. Let the job cure for about a week- and all should be good.

Signman - that is good for vinyl computer cut stickers???? The EO ones are a clear sticker with the letters printed onto it. There is no top layer.

Oops- so they're screen printed on clear?? Seems a bit of an overkill.

The biggest signwriter in our area, doesn't add detergent, they just say to use plain water.

G'day Shaker,
I don't use detergent either. Maybe a bit of metho in the water for a large area.
However, I do recommend for 'novices' to use a líl bit of detergent. Just makes the job a bit easier.
