I am a Mercedes fan but these thing are the pits to drive, the steering column is vertical between your feet, the steering wheel is horizontal because it is based on a farm tractor,Look at the wheel in the photo. the straight cut hub gears scream all day. looks tough though. Eric.

Imagine driving that in summer into the setting sun. You would get a tan without going to
the beach with that windscreen.
Still, Unimogs are pretty awesome trucks. I learnt me 4x4 skills in the Army driving a 6x6 Unimog. That thing went anywhere. Was a tad uncomfortable though.

Funny, for the last 20 odd years the Unimogs were all 4x4, the only 6 x 6 are wreckers, which have only been around for the last 4 years. The last 6 x 6 we had was the Internationals which we lost in the early 80s and then the Mack R series. So which one was it?
