Hi Dirty,

Good Luck with the new 2nd hand truck.

The 2.4 surf is a bit slow off the mark. See if you can find the engine number. It is the best way to know what you have there.

Regards

Derek.

Hi DD4x4,

If you are top mounting an intercooler, think about a fan to draw air through the scoop as well. It will make the intercooler work more efficiently when they are top mounted, the front mounted ones get a lot more air through them and will often work better, but if the price is right the top mount will do wonders.

Cheers Trevor.

Just talking about a 12volt thermo fan like this. Can get them from Repco or any other similar store. Most air passes over your bonnet and a scoop really doesn't force that much air into the i/cooler so a thermo fan will draw the air through for you. Well worth getting it tuned professionally if you want it to work properly for any length of time.

Cheers and good luck.
Trevor.

it should say 2LT across the top if its 2.4l, mine LN61, 1988, IFS, jap import.
oh and be careful just chucking any intercooler on there, if the volumes aren't right it can have detrementle effects!
