I am in the process of purchasing a new Toyota 4wd, I'm undecided which way to go regarding diff locks. Can anyone tell me the best options, am I better off getting the genuine Toyota electric Lockers or going for the after market air locker. What are the advantages and disadvantages with either locker.

They both work.
Advantage of the factory locker on a new vehicle is that there are no warranty issues. So if you bust a front diff, they are most likely going to fix it under warranty. If you have any aftermarket diff lock you have no chance.
Factory lockers are also cheaper.

My mate is a toyota mechanic and has air lockers on his cruiser but say say's that the factory set-up is way better than air lockers and if he was in a position to choose he would not think twice about getting factory set-up
If you check past post's regarding oil discharge/o rings probs, doesn't happen on factory locks, only others
