Hi All,
I'm taking the family on a short holiday next week from
Melbourne to
Canberra for a few days and then home along the NSW South Coast.
Just wondering if there is anywhere along the coast that has
beach access. I have done a little beach driving when I went to the Cape a couple of years ago, but the wife and 2 kids didn't come, and living in Victoria, beach driving is not something we can do. I thought they might get a bit of a kick out of a bit of a cruise on the sand.
And while I'm at it, any tips for worthwhile attractions out that way?
Cheers,
Tom.

Hi Tom
Sorry...dont know if you are allowed to drive on
the beach down that way....there is a place that is worth looking at on the coast where vic and nsw meet...an old
whaling station and good
camping.
The beaches north of Port Macquarie up to
south west rocks are accessable if you pay for a permit. (north coast of NSW)
Bendethra valley is a great 4wd/
camp near to
Canberra if you would like scenery and caving. Shallow crossing is on the river, fresh up stream, brackish down....(gr8 fishing)
