Where are some good bush camping spots where you can pull up right beside a river or creek in S/E QLD? Semi-offroad caravan accessable.

Went to bush camping reserve last weekend with the van. It is called Flanagans Reserve. You turn off the road about 25 km from Boona toward Rathdowney.

It is a very large area and you can choose to camp where you like. There is a shower and toilets. There is a creek with plenty of swimming holes and you can have dogs there. Were going back it was very relaxing

There is a website.

Bigriggan at Rathdowney is nice..... Sharpe Park at Canungra, Darlington Park out towards Lamington Park, I think on the Kerry Rd from Beaudesert, .... check the Dirty Weekends book, has some good places in it.

Cheers

Sharpe Park is right on the Beechmont Rd so you will get the biker wan!@# going past all weekend, not my idea of a peaceful camp spot. In addition it is not very large and currently the creek is a puddle.

Hi Flux - there is a simple answer to your question.
Buy the 'Camps 3' book. Most bookstores and camping stores have it.
Costs about $50 and worth every single cent.

Peach Trees at Jimna, Litle Yabba Creek at kenilworth, Island Reach and Burumber Dear Park at Imbil are all good family parks with good facilities and water holes and creeks.

Give them ago

Beaudesert Shire has some great camping parks which are accessible with your caravan......I personally like Darlington Park on the Albert River......it even has water in it [shock].

Check out Site Link for info on the parks in this area.....

Try John's Landing, on the banks of the Noosa River. Can get a van in but don't make it too big. I have a 16ft and this is OK to get in to the camp. Do a google for the name and see what comes up to find ph no. ect.
