Well , finaly after a year of testing / research , I desided on what gas injection kit to fit on the cruiser. Been on since wednesday last week , and running very well. I still havent done the 2000 kms before been able to tune it correctly , but so far so good. The main problem , is that the kit dosnt come cheap.

I have done some initial tunning . First couple of days , I had the gas at 185 % and dropped it down to 145% . I estimate that it will end up at 120 %

At the min , I am getting 22 to 23 L per hundred city driving on petrol, ( thats with the 35" tyres ) and on gas its using 25 to 26 L per hundred.

I am very confident that once I do the proper tuning at 2000 kms and tune the injector hose lengths , i will be on par with petrol L per hundred.

The power seems equal to petrol . if you wanted to be picky , you could find a very very slight lag on initial take off , but at the middle rev range , it seems more powerfull. The slight diffrence on take off , can be brough down to final tunning.

I will however get it on the dyno in 2 weeks to get a acurate kw test on both fuels .

I like how it can be set to go on gas at whatever temp I select. For instance , I have set mine to go on gas only after the engine has hit operating tempreture. if I run very low on gas , it will automaticly go to petrol and beep to let me know.

Also , you cannot tell when it changes from petrol to gas and vise versa. its the smoothest chane over I have ever seen on a gas system.

I will post the fuel usage and power reading off the dyno , in a couple of weeks

I have most of the features you mention with your unit, using the Impco system on both my 4X4 and Mitsi 380 only trouble is i would need a laptop running their software to do the tuning you mention. I do like the fact that at present both are set to slowly cut over one cylinder at a time to LPG as engine temp increases. The way they are set at the moment is, the 380 will do the beep and turn back over to ULP if I hit it hard but the 4X4 just stays on LPG, both give a beep if down to reserve on LPG and can be switched over to ULP to shut the Beeeeeeeeep up . I am guessing your unit has its own LPG injectors seperate from the ULP ones?

There all seperate Blaze. Due to the fact there all vapor systems. It is nice to have the program on your lap top , but useless unless you have a dyno , or get the missus to drive lol . Though would come in handy for you , if you pre set 2 programs , say one for highway driving and one for city. So if your going on a big trip , you can switch from one to another

Hi Rock Crawler,

Could you please provide details of your gas system ie cost, when available in Oz and an update as to how you have it tuned now.

Much appreciated if you could.

Thanks.
