............as always

Been on the prowl for awhile for 2nd battery set-up for my 80 series.

All the aftermarket metal trays seemed bloody expensive or bloody cheap(ly made).

I bit the bullet and rang toyota to see if I could speed up the onset of a heart attack by asking what the genuine aux tray was worth....................nearly fell over when he said $148.60..........then I was really shocked when he said that it was the complete unit, included all bolts, holding clamp and even the seal that meets the bonnet. That is cheaper than some of the shoddy looking after-market metal ones.

Then I managed to pick up a Bi-200 battery controller on ebay $30 cheaper than one of the advertisers on this forum sells them for.

So if you have a LC and are thinking of a 2nd battery, check the dealer price.

with the 80series the early petrol (3F) had the battery on the oppisite side to the deisels,so if you got a deisel, price genuine tray from early petrol,It was 8 years ago and it cost me $60 plus a couple of metric bolts
cheers
