Hi guys,

Anybody got a "Long Ranger" water tank fitted to their 120 Prado? How is the fit? Any affect on ground or departure angle? Is it vulnerable to damage? Where does the tap end up? and where is the fill point located?

Thanks in advance.

Mike.

Nup!

I was under the impression a 'long ranger' was a fuel tank made from 'pickled steel'.

Have you discovered the secret of using water as fuel, if so could let us all in on this discovery.

Didn't I tell you guys? I've managed to make Biodiesel from water.... Just my luck there's a drought on.....

Long Ranger also make water tanks, along with fuel tanks.....

Hi Mike,
As the long ranger tucks up between the rear bar and the rear fuel tank, it is very well protected.

The tank is no lower than the bumper, therefore departure angle is unaffected.

As that space is tiny, the tank only holds a lousy 20 ltrs. Consequently I personally couldn't justify the $500 odd bucks for such a little gain. ( 1 less gerry can. ) So I didn't look into it any further to know where the tap or fill points are.

Regards
Alan

Yes, had it been 40-50 litres I would be there like a shot but 21 litres was not enough to make me look too long at shelling out that sort of cash.
