Hi All,

Just a quick question!

My mate has the DX model 80 series with aftermarket free wheeling hubs fitted. These seem to have been playing up and ocassionally not engaging or disengaging themselves.
One suggestion is to go back to factory FWH's but there are never any 80 series cruisers in the wreckers and I am sure new from Toyota will be too expensive.
Does anyone know if a set of free wheeling hubs from a landcruiser troopy or ute will fit onto the 80 series?
If so is there a specific model we should look for or will they all fit?

Thanks!
Brett

Most of the later model ones will fit, anything from a 7x series of around the same vintage, even hilux ones should fit. There was a spline change but not sure when it was.
Hilux ones from IFS front ends won't fit from memory.

You could try www.landcruisermart.com.au - they are in Brisbane but have helped me to get the hard to find parts.

Hi Brett

I managed to destroy one on my 80 ( hit a big rock ) and looked everywhere and ended up getting it from Toyota as I only needed one and they where the cheapest even over the wreckers, but if you need a pair try Don Kytt still cheaper than wreckers and quality is good.

Have fun
