has any one fitted air bags recently from TJM. ARB. OL. ect all three suggested i fit them to my duellcab and keep the original back springs and just use them when loaded it seems to make sense. but how reliable are they. also thinking of fitting toughdog shocks as well but have heard they are good shocks but hard riding would like to hear from any one who has them on.

wazab,
I fitted airbags to my LC 80 series because I tow a van and I didn't want to put excess weight on the existing springs. The overall result has been great. I have travelled quite a few thousand Km's with them and they've performed faultlessly. Mine are Polyair bags. I ran them at 15 psi which seems a suitable pressure to run mine at.

Wazab,

I have Polyairs on a current model Prado. The bags have taken a real pounding without any problems. They'll be put on a new Prado next week.

Regards

Wazab, I fitted OME suspension to my Hilux (with approx 2 inch lift). I then fitted Firestone airbags on the rear leafs. The bags are great when we load up for a trip including ball weight of trailer. It is easy to travel with the vehicle level, even with our biggest load.

I keep about 10 PSI in them when we have a 'normal load' and go up to about 40 PSI when fully loaded.

Highly recommended, whether you change your springs or not, particularly if you vary your load a fair amount.

Wazab,
The black h/duty air bags are great with leaf springs, but the red bags on leaf springs are not that great, the bottom brackets are forever moving around.

I have just fit an Air Lift kit to the rear of my Jackaroo and am wrapped with the result. Purchased direct from the USA from truckspring company in Michigan for $170AU delivered.
