What type of fridge are you referring to - a caravan 3 way type? If it is one of those then the AC will refer to 240V AC and the DC will refer to 12V DC.

Please give more info like make and model when asking questions - the person will have more confidence in replying an there is less room for an incorrect answer. I just hope mine is correct.

Robsie,AC (alternat current)240v. DC (direct current) 12v. So when you plug into house hold AC. AC is also known as shore power.:o)))

Hi there Robsie, also if you want to reply to someone direct you can do a post follow up so that your answer will be emailed back to them otherwise unless that person that has given you the info looks back on this page again they wont know. Eg Disco 1942 has requested more info so you need to click on his post follow up so he can help you out. Unless now he looks at this post again he wont know you have replied. Just helping you out here as you said you are new so will help you get the answers your looking for thats all. Regards Steve M

AC DC could also refer to the participants in the Mardi Gra.

does not matter what type of fridge...3 way electrolux or engel waeco..its all the same...when you plug it into 240 its on 240...when you plub it into 12vdc itson 12vdc......

now, if your household is anything else but 240v, then i have no idea
