Hi All in Vic and SA

Have just wandered into Rays Outdoors here in Narre Warren and they are having a 25% off sale. I saw the catalogue earlier last week but there are a lot of things in store that are discounted not in the catalogue.

Picked up a Roman king Size swag for $300 (was$400) for myself for Xmas (SWMBO is away at the moment and I can hide it and say it came from Santa). Lots of other gear discounted as well. I believe the sale goes to 24 December.

PS I have no association with Rays - other than a lifetime ban from SWMBO with an occaisional visit if I am good.

do what i do...or should that be say as I do....
won it in a raffle..or picked up cheap at secondhand store, fire and water damged stock......etc etc

still trying to come up with excuse for the metal lathe I bought a couple years back....still sitting in the crate under the fridges, and other camping stuff...even if I do claim it as used damged stock she's still going to hit the roof

maybe we can have a new section on the forum - who is supposed to be looking after what until someones next birthday - or the "they couldn't fit it in their shed and asked me to look after it" list.

Talk about secret mens business!

Use some fine wet and dry to rub the paint off in the high wear areas, splash around a bit of grease and lots of oil, vacuum some dust up from the workshop floor and stick it to the grease, drop into the local metal shop and get a couple of buckets of swarf to poke in all the nooks and crannies, use a ball pein hammer to put some dings in the non essential parts and Bob's your uncle.

Oh and while you are at the metal shop get a bucket of worn out cutters etc to chuck in the junk box/bucket/drawer to add some corroboration.

Pete

They are in Albury just over the border though. We picked up 2 Coleman single self inflating mats (4" thick) for just over $66.00 each. Maate thats was cheap!

If you paid 25% off at Rays.........well you paid the price it should have been in the first place.

Ray's is a pretty place to shop, but it is not cheap.
