How is everyone tonight chasing info on dash pot for 3vze efi 4runner engine is it a filter inside or just a cap rang toyota sales person did not have a clue. Must have lost
mine on one of the tracks last week car still running like a dream info appreciated.

Dashpots on efi motors are usually to close the throttle gradually in rapid deceleration. This for emissions (which is why it still runs fine) . It prevents inefficient combustion due to too rich air/fuel mixture, reducing the amount of unburned hydrocarbons. Inside them is a spring, diaphragm and orifice.
Most likely you won't miss it unless you're a tree hugger.
