way too expensive
minit itx systems can be done around 1k $ with 1.5 or even faster processors
If you do not know about computers than this might be the way to go but again .. I consider it a rip off ..
good luck

I agree with _gmd_pps , You could buy a Garmin 276c with v7 city nav and a mirco PC that plays everything and also have Ozi maps working at the same time and still come out $500 ahead. The beaut about that is you can watch dvd or use other functions and still have your maps working separately, if one fails you still have the other.

I have to respond to your comments. In my opinion anyone can build PC these days!
Big deal.
You can obviously buy any computer components from China or Taiwan on Ebay and wack a system together yourself. I would say, sure you can have such a cheap computer but that’s all!
You would not have OziExplorer, Destinator (for sure because you can’t buy the PC version) and NO user interface skinned and NO Topographical Maps either. And most important – NO SUPPORT!!!. Oh, and if you want windows XP you can buy that separate too! What it comes down to is simple. You will never have a totally integrated solutions just a standard Win XP computer without GPS receiver, GPS antenna, CD/DVD, cameras and a touch screen.
Good luck.

very wrong mate ...
and what support ? hahaha ... from companies which die like flies
Just in the process of doing just that for myself and also a neighbour .. why no GPS .. Antenna, OziExplorer, touch screen , Camera ? how trivial ...
I said before .. some may not know how .. fair enough .. but many do ...
good luck
