Maybe he thinks the land anchor will just slip in the peat bog if stressed???

Big gamble all the same, I dont think i would want that anchor in my scull.

Talking of that, the other guy was standing on the anchor.

Half a brain and a bit of education and he WOULD have made it on his own...

C'mon!!
I remember watching this episode and I thought it was well done. Jeremy never claims to be an expert, I seem to remember him opening with somthing along the lines of "i'm the worlds worst off road driver"-I think that was sort of the point. After this show and reading all the great reviews on this vehicle I was thinking I could be convinced the D3 was worth buying. That has been bleep tered though after seeing one in the flesh and the failures in two seperate road tests by 4WD monthly.

I think Clarkson is a very funny/entertaining bloke. Can't believe the show's not on regularly in Aus.

BTW, the story he did on a RR Sport being hunted by a tank might raise your opinion of his off road driving skills, I though he did pretty well in that one.

I remember watching that episode too. My lasting memory was that "Tread Lightly" must mean "TREAD BLOODY LIGHTLY WID YA BIG BLOODY BOOTS, JIMME" (in Billy Connolly's accent). Nice one Clarkeson.

Matt, they make only a short series each time. There are a heap of out of date ones on the web of course which is one of the ones being referred to. I guess for watching sake, even the old ones are fun but ARE 'out of date'.
