Hi All,
I know its been flogged to death but here we go again,I'm told by some {in particular Toyota and friends} that running the Prado {3Lt T/D 02 model} is not advisable, yet the fuel company says it's fine {Gull} can we put this to bed it's starting to get on my t#t's now, it runs great on it, what more can I say, is there anyone who knows something I dont ?
if you want to know anything ask EO, the input here is fantastic, best of all no one slags you for a stupid question,
thanks again,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Are you talking about straight bio or blend, I work for a fuel company and we have a 20% bio blend that still comes up to Australian spec for diesel, you can use this and no manufacturer can do anything about it, it can not be blamed for any engine problems, even though straight bio will not harm your engine a manufacturer can still use this against you should you have engine problems because the engines are built to run on Australian specs diesel and straight bio has a completely different spec.
Cheers rossco.

Hi Dave,
Bio sold in Aus has to meet the same specs as petroleum Diesel, Suppliers advetise this so all is good. I cant see how you would have a warranty issue, and I suspect there is bugger all chance of the fuel causing your engine to cack itself. I have been running Bio in a HDJ100R for 3 weeks and can say "give me more" It is smoother, and has more power and better economy. have done 2500kms so far. I guess only time will tell, but I have no qualms about running it, or recommending it. I get really grumpy if I cant get it

HI Rosco,
I've no idea what the mix is it's just bio diesel at the Gull service station here in Rockingham Perth, but I tend to agree with Dave it's running great on it so whats the verdict ??? I too think I'll stay on it after all how can it not be good if it's up to aus standards,
regards and thanks,
Dave
