My MRF 7.50x16 Super Traction 12ply tyres arrived today and I picked them up from my tyre bloke. They come with their own MRF tubes, which I am led to believe, are quite good.

I only bought 4 this time as I already have 2 extra MRF 77 14 ply as spares.

So now, apart from the tyres on all the vehicles, there are still 20 tyres and 12 rims in the shed. Will be getting rid of the 10 Roadgrippers in due course though and maybe the Coopers as well, as the latter have multiple cuts and plugs in them.

Maybe I will fit them next week if I have the energy....lol

Getting the truck and trailer set up for some really serious off track stuff.

Cheers

You mean the last trip you did across the desert, untouched by human footprint, at 1 km per hour......with a zillion punctures wasn't serious ?????????......LOL

Neyah!!!....that was a walk in the park except for one dune where we went sideways down the eastern slope. A brief anxious moment but automated reaction(even for an old bugger) saved the day...LOL.

Davoe

I fitted one tyre today and had no problems whatsoever.

I did clean the rims up tho. I removed the rust and rubber buildup and then painted the surfaces.

A liberal amount of saoapy stuff and the rim just slid in. Airing the tyre took a tad longer than usual.

Will do a couple more tomorrow if the spirit moves me...lol

Cheers

OK the problems I would have was the narrow opening to the tire when new would make it a bugger to fit the rust band

Willem i notice you mention 12ply, the last time i bought 7.50 x16 dunlops, was told they were load rated, ply rating wasn't an issue. Getting me confused with what these tyre turkeys have to say now?.

Cheers.

Axle

These are crossply tyres(rags). Not sure what the load rating is or if they have one. Will look tomorrow.

Hi Axle

The Super Traction tyres show no load rating though there is a number 1895 stamped on..not sure

My seconds MRF M77's say load rating of 1495kg

My Eldorados say 1180kg

And the Coopers Load Rating E(go figure)

Cheers
