I am looking for some 100 series GXL IFS steel rims. If I can get some cheap enough I would like to convert my camper to the same wheels and also have a couple of spares for travelling. There must be a pile of spare rims somewere from all the mags that have been fitted. Perhaps some one knows of a tyre place that will sell them cheap.

On another forum, a couple of people found steel rims directly from the local Toyota dealer - ie they tend to lie around the local dealership it seems.

Haven't tested this theory myself but will be giving it a shot in a couple of months to match up the campertrailer.
Regards,
Brad.

Dave,
I will have five td 100 series ifs rims and tyres (one brand new and the others only 6000kms) available in Karratha at the end of April. Contrary to popular belief, these rims are not lying around dealers as I was looking for the second spare myself, Toyota will sell you one for about $240 - rim only. In the end I've ordered a set of six 16x6.5 ifs rims from Toyota - being rarer than rocking horse do-dos - so I can put my skinny V-steels on the td. email me at jstanley@kisser.net.au if your interested.
Cheers Jayson

Nordave

I live in Perth and late last year bought 4 of these wheels (100 Series IFS steel Wheels) from my local Toyota dealer for $50.00 each including the steel hubs.

At that time, that dealer had about 20 of these wheels in stock (all swapped off new vehicles for alloys) and the comment was made that the number of these wheels available was growing with little or no demand for their use.

Like you, I bought these for my camper trailer which we are currently having manufactured so as to match the wheels on our Cruiser.

When I had the tyres fitted at Ian Diffen (3 weeks ago), they also had the same wheels (at least 4 off) which they offered for $40.00 each.

With the new V8 GXL now having the same wheels as the T/D, these wheels are becoming far more freely available on the second hand market.

Hope that this helps

Rgds

David

Thanks for the replys I did find some in the end at my local dealer. But to my dismay found they will not fit the camper any way. So its modify the camper to fit them or stick with the same camper wheels .
