I am moving to the NT in a couple of weeks, so i called my current insurer (NRMA) to change address, and they told me they don't cover NT.

So if there is anyone up that way who could recommend an insurer that does cover the NT and offers reasonable prices, i would be most gratefull.

thanks

Hi trolute,
Try some of the larger Insurance Companies. I would have thought that you would have had no problems. I am with Elders Insurance, found that they were very competitive.

Gday,
Ive got my car and bikes Insured with Swan Insurance, mainly because they were the only mob who would insure my bikes at a reasonable rate but they have been really helpfull and easily the cheapest.
I was with CGU but they first claim I ever made they tried every trick in the book to get out of paying and eventually only coughed up about half of the cost.

Cheers

You could try the Automobile Association of the Northern Territory (AANT)....same as NRMA, RACV, etc etc in other states.

Hi, I go through a broker in Darwin (OAMPS). You could try TIO, they'd have to be one of the biggest insurers in the Territory. Good advice about the AANT, they will be able to give you more info if they don't insure directly. Also try Shannons - they insure standard vehicles as well as modified ones, and their rates were competitive when I got a quote.

Cheers, Scott
