Hey all,

I have a 80 series standard wagon, barn doors. I have just had the main rear door seal replaced (the large one piece loop that goes around the body). I have cured the water issue I had before but have a new one. I believe the smash repairs have not positioned the seal properly. I was wondering if someone here who has an 80 standard could look at theirs and let me know. On the top side of the seal there is a flared section, when it is replaced they have centre the flared part to the body. My old one had the flared section located off centre to the passenger side (aligned to where the barn doors join). It is here that I have the water leak and believe that the misplaced seal is the problem. Smash repairer argues this.

Just need to know where Toyota put it.

Thanks for the help.

Yep,

Seal on my standard 80 series has flared section at the point where the 2 doors meet.

Thanks all, just wanted to make sure I was not on the wrong track with both the water leak and getting the work fixed up.
