Anyone have an opinion on the Open Sky awning (or other similar brands)?

I have the Gunyah awning, and love it.
I dont know the open sky one, but the fact I can just pull up anywhere and have shade in 30-60 seconds appeals to me.
I chose the Gunyah because it has a vinyl cover that allows it to give a little, if hit, buy a branch or shrub in transit. The solid ones bend and scratch under similar conditions. The Gunyah is totally Australian made.
Mine is 2.5mtr along the car and 3mtrs out from the car, large enough for camping and or eating under.!MPG:40!

Kimprado,

This is the awning I have which is made by Campout Products in Brisbane, only about $290 which is cheap. Had it now for 4 years without a problem.....

Hi,

I have the open sky awning, and have had it for about 4 years now.

It is really good, very sturdy, and can withstand some big winds if it is guyed out ok.

Thanks

I'm ordering one next week (providing it clears the snorkel).

I recently purchased a Polaris awning for the Patrol after having a good look around at the different brands. I highly recommend them. They are made in Brisbane - cost $25 to freight it to Melbourne. It was made in a week and they were very good to deal with.

Check them out - www.polarisinnovations.com/
