Hi all,
I will be spending a couple of nights in
Naracoorte (SA) in the middle of Jan. I had a quick search but could not find a lot of info on
camping etc. One referance was made about the black cockatoo
bush camp. Can anyone shed some more light on this place or any other suitable sites. We will have our offroad camper with us.
Thanks
Adam

Used to live there, so this is only a suggestion, as I do not know the current status:
Maybe at
the Caves site? i.e. The Fossil caves, south of the township. Try
" target="EOF" class="lbg">Site Link.
Otherwise, I thnk you may be limited to caravan parks, or as you have discovered, the Black cockatoo
bush camp (of which I know nothing).
Cheers

Like Rick (SA) we used to live there too.
It could be warm there in mid January so this could be an alternative as it is next door the the town swimming
lake (
pool). Free admission for a swim.

Thanks for the info. I did a Google and found a little bit more info on the
bush camp. It sounds pretty good s o I think we will give that a try. Apparently it is located on the banks of a river or
lagoon and has plenty of fish and yabbies to be had.
Thanks again

Hi Adam
I recollect that the campertrailer group stayed at Black Cockatoo earlier this year and the reports were good. We did not go so have no first hand knowledge

How about Mullinger Swamp Con Pk , near Kybyblite . It's on the Border of SA and Mexico, just over 25 kms north east of Narcoorte.
Make sure your on the Vic side if your going to have a
camp fire.
