hi,
As Gas pressure issues have been a problem for quite a few travellers with camper trailers and/or caravans, i thought it timely to inform members of a Safety Alert issued by the Qld Chief Gas Inspector with regards to two-stage gas regulators. This Alert (15 December 2006) updates the issue with regards to these regulators eithing failing or not delivering adequate pressure.
The Safety Alert can be found here ==>

Just quickly, the recommendations are as follows:
- Use regulators of capacity at least 300MJ/hr.
- Use copper pigtails for fixed installations and low-loss flexible hose for mobile applications such as caravans (check with your hose supplier).
- Mount regulators above the level of the cylinder valve.
- Fit an elbow or “T” to the inlet and ensure that any residue which deposits in pigtails will flow back into the cylinder
BTW, the original Alert and the issues can be found here ==>

Have a safe christmas
