Has anyone used caravan and
camping TV boosters for 12v systems. Someone I know has been asking please.
Derek from ABR, back in October you posted you were going to test some 12v
tv antenna connections, have you come to any conclusions or has anyone else done so?

Hi John,
The first one 2 have been tested.
#1 went in the bin after just 10 mins.
#2 only tested ok on 4 out of 6 channels
#3 is waiting to be tested. It has been made and modified to my specs after tests on #2.
I feel this type of product must be properly tested before selling it.
Regards
Derek.

I'm gonna have to ask Derek, but how do you go about evaluating these antannaes? Is it a quantitative process or just a qualitative test first before further tests?
I would just like to know if my cheap system is any good compared to others :-)

Hi Andrew
Our tests are based on both. Best quality picture and most number of channels, both Digital and Analogue.
Also the most robust and easy to set up option.
As you know it is very hard to find a good antenna and it is a time consuming process sourcing and testing new products.
Regards
Derek.

Thanks for that Derek.
Whilst you may get the product performing to your liking, it is always hard to compare it to a "cheap and nasty" item.
I just wish there was an easy way to pick the best antenna :-)

Hii Derek, thanks for that. Obviously there are some traps round for the unwary if you toss them within minutes. Thanks again.

In the event your antenna doesn't work, it will be the fault of Bracks LOL.
Everything else is.
