Dear all,
can anyone advise me how to best obtain a new steering wheel for a 1990 GQ patrol. The genuine is too expensive ($644). Is there a replacement or cheaper version which is suitable and accomodates the horn buttons?
Cheers
Paul

My son bought a generic one, but it does not accommodate the horn buttons. But he was after a smaller wheel as he is 6 ft 4 and couldn't get his legs under the wheel.
I've since learned that some other Nissan
wheels fit. Pulsar for example, but probably others as
well.
Otherwise, the wrecker is always a good place to try.

Its taken me 4 years to find one. I fluked one on ebay which is like new for a song. Trouble is most of the ones at the wreckers all go pronto or they are stuffed as
well. The glue let go in
mine. Another idea is to inject more glue.

Put a wheel of a early 90's pulsar on. It is a little smaller than the standard but I find that to better for me. It also bolts straight on with no mods at all and only $40 from the local wrecker.
