Is there anyone in the know on the best way to transport a Kaymar twin wheel carier tow bar from a private residance in Victoria to Northen Western Australia?
Most transport companies will only pickup if you are a business and have an account with them. They also wont provide lifting equipment ie forklift.
Can anyone help out ?

There is a publication called "Who goes where" that I think has covereage for all states. I have a copy for SA so that is not much help to you but their web site is www.whogoeswhere.com
You may have to get a taxi truck to take it to the transport depot. Just need to ask for one with a tailgate loader and tell them what it is.

You could also try "Bus Freight" - I think they have a 20kg per item limit, so I am not sure how the wheel carrier will go (can it be broken down?)

I tried to get them to cart one from Brissy without success.
Ended up putting it in the back of the wagon.

It won't require a forklift.
Can be lifted carefully by two blokes in my experience.

I am in
Melbourne on Tuesday and reasonably regularly, returning to
Adelaide on Sunday or Monday.
I am in
Broome on 30th April.
Could sling on a trailer for the trips if it helped and if you could wait 4 months.
Additional fuel would not be that significant.

If its not on a skid/pallet most wont touch it.
Also all tpt companies will only send 1 person out to pick up, so if there isnt someone there to help load it, you wont get it. simple.

Look for a trucking company in Furniture Removals who do backloads - sometimes they will help you out -also Bulls Nt Transport out of
Darwin could help they are often in
Melbourne as
well as Northline from
Darwin - give them a try -
Darwin is a lot closer to North WA than
Perth I think.
