You may be interested in a website with info about a

You can follow their trip south and receive regular email updates by signing up for their newsletter on the website. I have found their fisrt few diary entries interesting.

Good on them!!
I have recently flown up from Johannesburg to Algeria in a short range twin engined aircraft and have worked in Angola for over five years. I know the difficulties they will encounter, not forgetting the real dangers they will face.
My best wishes for a safe journey go with them.

Graeme
I spent a short while in Luanda, Angola, way back in 1967. Interesting times:-)
Go to my website www.kempen.id.au click on My Stories and then on 'Jaco and the Diamond Differential' to read an account of that adventure.
Cheers

Brave people, doing it in a landy ;)
I love these types of adventurer, I got the Long Way Round DVD of Santa and watched all of it in two days. It makes plannibg for a Simpson trip look like a Sunday afternoon drive to
the beach. Good on 'em.

Twas a dream on
mine once...but I only made it as far north as the Congo from Cape Town.
Africa is in a bit of turmoil right now. I do hope they make it through safely.

Hi Mark
Not sure where you got that info from?
Mebbe you have me mixed up with someone else....:-D
I do wish now however, that I had been born in 1962 as that would have given me more time for other adventures.
