that unit looks like it could be cheap insurance for a car or whatever but it didnt say whether or not it was disabled by disconnecting the battery but as long as you could track it it wouldnt matter

I was just thinking about that system too and was wondering how long is GSM going to be around , is it going the same fate as CDMA in the future , But if man can make one for GSM then why not 3G ,
And boy do I get into some heated discussions with some Truckies, The have this idea that GSM is Digital and CDMA is CDMA ,try explaining to them that both are digital and the new system is digital too .

just having another look at carminder it doesnt say whether you can program the unit to send sms messages every few minutes or not so your vehicle can be tracked or not
would hope that is how it works its not much good knowing your cars been pinched and was last known travelling north ????
i will try and find time to visit appleseeds this week and find out more
