On ABC radio this Sunday at 7.30 pm , there is a special on " the fine art of whistling ". Each year the "Whistlers Convention" is held in Louisburg , North Carolina . Champion whistlers come here from all corners of the globe , to vie for the crown of the World's Greatest Whistler .

Did you know that whistling is banned in Jacksonville , Florida and Detroit , Michigan ? This is to stop gangs signalling to each other with whistles . These cities obviously are not whistle stops .
