Back in September I posted about a 12 month old Philips Vision Plus 50 globe that had burnt out the low beam element - well the second bulb just burnt out as well, at 15 months of age.

Might try a different brand - Narva or Hella seem popular. See if they last longer. The cost isn't so much of an issue as the inconvenience of a prematurely blown globe.

Yeh, these have gone well and we had a light "show-off" the other night looking towards our dairy buildings 600 metres away. Moses Nissan standard headlights with the Phillips Vision globes cra##ed on 100 series standard lights. Just make sure you focus your lights too though as that can make quite a difference. Bruce, you know whose the other lights would be.

When that vehicle turned on two sets of HID driving lights beat Moses with the single set of Lightforce lights. Interesting comparo with the bigger HIDs against the Lightforce. Different more focussed pattern with the Lightforce. Broader whiter with the HIDs. Another 'Trol with Night Stalkers showed up well. Think the whiter lights may be quite reflective in dust but I could be wrong.

. Back to the original post, the Phillips did a lot of the available standard light where I wouldn't put a hotter globe for the lenses and reflectors. Too much damage with bubbling from the heat. Have see written good reports on Osram Starlights on another forum. Would guess they are simlar from a Google search.

Have a set of Phillips " Blue Vision " 55/60's in my navara for 3 years,, Same in my driving lights, but they are 100 watters, I drive to work in the dark nearly every day og the year,,they are gr8.

I used to run Phillips " Long Life " 90/110's im my Commodore and they had to be replaced every 12 months.

High energy globes do burn out quicker !

Cheers Mate !
