Rick, The Kinky bit is about 3/4 of the way from the Sturt Highway to the river. If you turn north at the border along the
border track, you will easily see the kink.
Sorry I don't have a
pic of the cairn. There is an old ruin of a building that was used as a scab inspectors hut and near-by is the cairn. It is at Lake Litra and I think it is called Litra Hut. It has been partuially restored with the walls being rebuilt some years ago by a few local land owners.
Sure is going to be hot for the next few days.
Danggali didn't suffer much damage from the fires. The total area that the fire was in was extensive however not everything was burnt. It was very patchy.
Gluepot and Taylorville Stations carried the brunt of the fire and probably parts of Pooginook were burnt too.
Bonz, you need to read the book called the Disputed Border sold through Westprint Books. It is written by your fellow Vics and even they say that SA was ripped off. The Vics were trying to get their fingers on more of SA rthan they were entitled to because in fact SA is the glorious state and the only part of Vic that is glorious are the parts that you usurped from us. LOL
